SoloDesk is built for freelancers who value their privacy. We collect only what we need to run the app, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
1. Who We Are
SoloDesk ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application for freelancers and independent professionals. Our app is available on iOS and Android. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use SoloDesk:
- Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
- Profile information: Your name, job title, business logo, hourly rate and currency preference — provided voluntarily
- Business data: Clients, projects, tasks, proposals, invoices and milestones you create in the app
- Voice recordings: Audio captured via the voice capture feature, used solely to transcribe and extract tasks. Audio is processed and not stored long-term.
- Usage data: Basic analytics to help us improve the app (crash reports, feature usage)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the SoloDesk app and its features
- To generate AI-powered proposals, task extraction and business digests using the Anthropic Claude API
- To process subscription payments via RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play
- To send transactional notifications (if enabled)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve and maintain app performance and reliability
4. Third-Party Services
SoloDesk uses the following trusted third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication (servers in the EU/US)
- Anthropic Claude API — AI processing for proposals, voice transcription and digests
- RevenueCat — subscription and payment management
- Expo / EAS — app distribution and updates
Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We do not sell your data to any third party.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) policies, meaning your data is only accessible by your own account. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your data
- Withdraw consent at any time

7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data including clients, projects, invoices, proposals and voice notes are permanently deleted within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
SoloDesk is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of SoloDesk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
